About
Julian Escobedo is a musician who has been playing music since he was 11 years old when he began playing the baritone horn and tuba in middle school. At the age of 15 he began playing his primary instrument, bass guitar, and has been playing professionally for the past 26 years.
He spent 11 of his professional career as the bass player/backup vocalist for Grammy award winning Tejano/Country artist, Emilio Navaira, in which he has toured all over the US including dates in Switzerland, Canada and Mexico. No longer on tour with Emilio, Julian owns a school of music (The Musicology) where he teaches privately and also plays with his local R&B/Funk/Dance band, Finding Friday.
Inside The Musicology studios is also a project recording studio where bands and artists can record demos or full CD’s. Julian is also teaming up with fellow instructor Rene Solorzano in starting a local independent record label, Musicology Records, and will sign local talent and use his resources and knowledge of the industry to help local artists.

I sent a recording of a young lady who I think has tons of promise to Melissa. Don’t know if you remember hearing it. She also made it in the first round of Avon Voices. She would probably have went further if she hadn’t take sick. If you like I can get another recording. She is a longtime family friend. A very nice Christian girl who I would like to see get a break but with someone who won’t take advantage.
